Purdue Launches Turf Diagnostic Mobile App
Purdue University researchers Drs. Doug Richmond, Aaron Patton and Rick Latin developed the Purdue Turf Doctor app to help homeowners and land managers diagnose turfgrass problems caused by weeds, insects, diseases, nuisance animals, and abiotic stress. The app features a flexible yet powerful user interface and serves turfgrass management professionals and garden center personnel who can use it to improve communication with customers and build customer confidence. The app launched just in time for the growing season and is available for iOS and Android devices.
New app takes the guesswork out of yardwork
Purdue University researchers developed the Turf Doctor app to help homeowners and professionals identify, diagnose and find prescribed solutions for lawn problems using cultural, biological, or chemical treatment options. "We've designed the apps to be useful to people of all knowledge levels, from beginners to landscape professionals," said Cliff Sadof, Purdue professor of entomology and one of the Plant Doctor developers.
