Functionality & Mechanism

This educational simulation, developed in association with NASA's Launch Services Program (LSP), provides a gamified representation of the spacecraft launch process. The application utilizes a series of eight distinct modules, or "mini-games," to deliver pedagogical content on key engineering and logistical stages. These modules guide users through a procedural workflow that encompasses vehicle procurement, systems analysis, spacecraft-to-rocket integration, assembly, fueling, and communications setup. The simulation culminates in a launch sequence that models orbital trajectory and guidance, with users selecting from a range of character avatars.

Intended Use & Scope

This tool is designed for a general audience to introduce foundational concepts in aerospace engineering and launch logistics. It serves as a supplementary instructional resource that outlines the major phases of a commercial space mission, from procurement to orbital insertion.
