Functionality & Mechanism

This educational tool, developed in connection with the University of Wisconsin-Madison, provides procedural guidance for performing a normal pediatric echocardiogram. The system delivers instructional content organized by four standard imaging views: subcostal, parasternal, apical, and suprasternal. To facilitate skill acquisition, the platform integrates multimedia assets, including video clips, static images, and technical illustrations. A user can navigate through a protocol sequentially or access specific views directly. Procedural instructions are displayed automatically upon view selection and can be supplemented with additional notes accessible through the interface.

Intended Use & Scope

The application is designed for trainees and clinicians in pediatric cardiology, including sonographers at all training levels, cardiology fellows, and cardiologists. It serves as a supplementary instructional resource for learning the standard pediatric echocardiography examination protocol. This app is designed to supplement learning and may be most effective when used alongside formal instruction.
